Board Member

She is the Assistant Vice President of Arts Education at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) responsible for the overall programming across 3 divisions – In-school residencies, on-site arts training, and faculty professional development.

Prior to NJPAC, Tsukayama was the Director of Strategic Partnerships, and the Director of Performing Arts for the Arizona Commission on the Arts (ACA).She managed the agency’s $2M grant portfolio and developed partnerships and programs across government and community sectors. Her successful philanthropic initiatives included: Honoring Our Service Members, and Rural Presenters Consortium.

Her artistic work includes the direction of 3 dance companies, the creation of over 40 original dance works and been commissioned across the United States and abroad.

Tsukayama was an Associate Professor in Arizona State University’s Department of Dance where she taught graduate and undergraduate studio and performance technology courses. She has been invited to present papers on her creative research at such organizations as Counseil Internacional de la Dance of the United Nation’s Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

She has severed on numerous panels including, the National Endowment for the Arts, ArtPlace America and many state arts councils.
